What do I call these?

I've been calling these 'knitted thingies' or (rather apologetically) my weird version of knitted or crocheted coral reefs I've seen online, but can you think of anything better?  Soft sculptures or fibre arts sounds pretentious, but knitted thingies doesn't butter any parsnips either ... soooo, ideas please!
